Mario M. Blanch, Esq. successfully argued in Federal Court that an alleged child pornographer's statements to the police were coerced and violated the defendant’s right to remain silent. After the hearing, where Mario M. Blanch, Esq. cross-examined two Special Victim’s Unit detectives, the Court found that the Detectives lacked credibility and determined that they had coerced the Defendant to give a three-hour statement. At trial, the Government will not be allowed to use the statement against Defendant which will make their case more difficult.
